My Daily Musings-May 16th, 2026
Sometimes the simplest moments can teach us something meaningful. Today I noticed the sunlight shining through my window blinds, casting beautiful patterns across the ceiling. For a moment, I just sat and admired how the reflection changed the way everything looked. It made me think about the reflections we see every day in our own mirrors.
For much of my adult life, I struggled to like the reflection looking back at me. But over time, I began to realize something that changed my perspective: my Heavenly Father loves my reflection. He created me intentionally — every physical feature, every personality trait, every part of who I am. What if I learned to look at myself through a Heavenly Mirror instead of through the harsh lens of comparison or criticism?
Would I notice more grace? More worth? More love?
I don’t think Heavenly Father measures our value by perfect hair, clean clothes, or flawless appearances. On the hard days when simply getting out of bed feels like a victory, I believe He still looks at us with tenderness and love. Maybe the reflection He sees is not one of imperfections, but of a beloved child doing their best.
What would change if we truly believed that?
