The Backstory: Recently, I realized that as this digital home has grown to over 300 poems and reflections, it was becoming a little too easy for my latest writings to get tucked away where readers couldn’t easily find them. After a sweet conversation this week, I felt prompted to open the front door a little wider. I wanted to make sure that the moment you step into this space, you are met instantly with fresh words of peace and comfort, without having to search for them.

A Welcome to the New Layout: If you’ve visited the website today, you might notice things look a little more spacious! I’ve rearranged our digital living room to make it more reader-friendly for you.

Our Homepage is now a live, breathing feed of my five most recent posts. No more digging or clicking through layers—the newest poetry, backstories, and daily musings will always be sitting right at the very top, waiting for you.

For those who are new or want to revisit some foundational pieces, I have combined my welcome pages into a single main menu link at the top called Start Here. When you hover over it, you’ll easily find Explore My Writing and The Heart of This Space. It’s a simple, uncluttered map designed to help you find exactly what your soul needs today.

The Takeaway: Growth is a quiet, holy process of refining—not just in our hearts, but in the spaces we build to connect with one another. I am so incredibly grateful to share this journey of faith, poetry, and healing with you. Thank you for walking with me, for pulling up a chair, and for making this space a true refuge.

💬 To My Subscribers: How does the new layout feel to you as you look around? Is it easier to find a place to rest today? Please reply or leave a comment below and let me know—I would love to hear your thoughts and welcome you to our new setup!

The “Day After” Tender Holidays

This past weekend, I shared some reflections on the “quiet things” we often carry during holidays like Mother’s Day—the mix of deep gratitude for the women in our lives and the private sorrows that sometimes sit right alongside it.

Now that the holiday has passed and the world has moved on to the next thing, I’m still thinking about that “messy middle”—the space where we feel grateful and grieving at the same time.

I’d love to hear from you in our Community Conversation today: How do you continue to find peace once the “big days” are over? Is there a specific way you mother the hearts of those around you, even when your own heart feels a little tender?

Let’s walk together in the comments. Your story and your “unseen offerings of love” matter so much here.

It is so easy to let our thoughts drift backward—lingering on mistakes, missed opportunities, or even just “the way things used to be.” But when we spend too much time in the past, we often lose the ability to see the blessings right in front of us.

Moving forward isn’t about ignoring our history; it’s about deciding that our present gratitude and our future hope deserve more of our attention than our past regrets. Peace comes when we stop looking back and start looking up. Today, I am choosing to be grateful for the “now” and hopeful for the “next.”

I’d love to hear from you: How do you pull yourself back into the present when the past feels heavy? What is one thing you are hopeful for this week? Please reply and let’s talk in the comments!

Finding the Light After the Storm

I recently finished an audiobook called The Heiress of All Things Beautiful by Anita Stansfield. It’s a poignant story—at times quite heavy—centered on a family escaping a cycle of abuse. While their early years were defined by hardship, the heart of the book is really about what happens next: the way they find a new life filled with love, friendship, and the difficult path of forgiveness.

I feel incredibly grateful to come from a very loving family, and because of that, I have such deep admiration for those who navigate deep-seated family struggles and emerge stronger. It’s a reminder that while our trials look different, the capacity to learn from them and become “better” rather than “bitter” is a beautiful part of the human spirit.

We all face “storms,” but we also all have the capacity to find our own version of joy on the other side.

To My Subscribers:

We all carry experiences that have shaped who we are today. When you look back at a particularly difficult season of your life, what is one “beautiful thing” or lesson you gained that you wouldn’t have found any other way? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Let’s walk together in this conversation.
