“Leave it all in the Hands that were wounded for you.” — Elisabeth Elliot
Some days the burdens we carry feel impossibly heavy. We wonder how much longer we can keep going or how we will ever make it through the weight of grief, fear, disappointment, or exhaustion. But maybe we were never meant to carry those burdens alone.
I love the reminder in this quote that the very hands reaching toward us are the hands that were wounded for us. Jesus Christ understands every sorrow, every heartache, and every struggle because He already carried them in Gethsemane and on the cross. What would happen if we truly trusted Him enough to place our worries into His hands? How would our hearts change if we remembered we do not have to walk through life alone?
Faith does not always remove the burden immediately, but it does mean we have a Savior willing to help us carry it. As we reach for Him, He can lighten the load and give us strength for one more step forward.
