The God of Macros and Micros

My Daily Musings-April 23rd, 2026

Sometimes I hear something simple that reshapes the way I see everything.

Recently, I heard this idea: God is a God of macros and micros.

Macros—He sees the entire plan. Eternity. All of His children. The unfolding of His purposes. Nothing is random or outside His awareness.

Micros—He sees you. Your thoughts, your quiet prayers, your specific struggles. He doesn’t just know the plan… He knows your place in it.

I’ve always believed that my Heavenly Father sees the whole picture—that His plan for my life is bigger and better than anything I could create on my own. But I also believe He sees me individually, with a perfect understanding of what I need and when I need it.

And the same is true for you.

So when life feels uncertain, I think this is something worth asking ourselves:
Do I trust that God sees the full picture, even when I can’t?
And do I believe that He truly sees me—not just as part of the plan, but as someone He deeply knows and loves?

Maybe faith is holding on to both at the same time—
that the God who governs eternity is also guiding you, personally, step by step.
