My Daily Musings-October 20th, 2026
“Lay it down. The weight, the worry, the what-ifs. God’s hands hold what your heart can’t carry.”
We all face difficult trials. We all carry a heavy weight on our shoulders at times. Sometimes we might feel as if we can’t carry the weight on our own. We worry about our families, our friends, our financial situations, or what will happen in the future. We should learn to place our burdens in God’s hands. He won’t necessarily take the burdens from us. He never wants us to carry our heavy loads on our own. He wants us to reach out to Him, so He can help us carry the weight. He loves each of us so much because we are His beloved children.
It is hard to lay down our burdens sometimes. We may occasionally think that we can carry the load on our own. Sometimes we may think that He has enough to worry about, so He doesn’t need our load on His shoulders. The way I see it is that He has really big hands and shoulders. He is glad to hold what we can’t carry in His hands and on His shoulders. He never wants us to feel alone. He always wants us to reach out to Him. He has helped carry my burdens in the past. He is helping me now, and He will always be there for me. He will do the same for you. We just need to reach out to Him and trust Him enough to let Him help us carry what we can’t by ourselves. He will be there for us whenever we need Him.
What helps you remember to turn to God when your burdens feel too heavy to carry on your own? Can you think of a time when God helped you carry a burden, even if He didn’t take it away?
