When My Father Let Me Go

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

Backstory

Since my birthday was yesterday, I was thinking about how many of my family and friends reached out to me and wished me a happy birthday. Then my mind went to my Heavenly Father. I could clearly picture in my mind that He was sitting down with me before I came to this earth. He told me that He would miss me so much but that it was His plan for me to come down so that I could have experiences that would help me learn and grow. He would wait patiently for the day when I would return to His presence.

When My Father Let Me Go

I could clearly picture in my mind,
My Heavenly Father looked so loving and kind.
He embraced me and we sat down under the moon
And He told me that I would be leaving Him soon.

He said that He would miss me so much
But I could always feel His loving touch.
He told me that I would soon be coming down to Earth,
And that I would take with me my divine worth.

He said that I would experience trials during my earth life,
That could cause me occasional strife.
But that those trials would help me learn and grow,
So that His love for me I could more deeply know.

He told me how much He loved me,
And that remembering His love would be the key.
As we embraced for the final time,
I told him not to worry and that I would be fine.

He would wait patiently for the day that I would return,
And for that moment, His fatherly heart would yearn.
If I missed Him, I could just kneel and pray,
And He would be there for me right away.

The Takeaway

I firmly believe that we are children of our Heavenly Father and that He loves us very much. He sent us down to Earth so we could learn and grow. He wants us to communicate with Him through prayer. He will be there for us whenever we need Him. I think that He yearns for the day when we will return to His presence after this life.

Have you ever pictured God watching over you through your life’s journey? What does it mean to you to know that He is always there, waiting for you to reach out to Him?
