One Nation Under God

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

My Daily Musings-July 4th, 2026-Happy 4th of July-250 years!!

Today, we celebrate the Fourth of July—a day that marks the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the birth of the United States of America. As I reflect on this holiday, I can’t help but think back to standing in school each morning, placing my hand over my heart, and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

The words that stand out to me most are, “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” The word indivisible means unable to be divided or separated. What a beautiful reminder of what our nation can strive to be.

No matter our differences—our backgrounds, races, religious beliefs, or political views—we are all neighbors who share this country. While we won’t always agree, I believe we can still choose respect, kindness, and a desire to seek God’s guidance together.

As we celebrate our freedoms this Independence Day, may we also remember the importance of unity. Are there ways we can help build bridges instead of walls? How can each of us better reflect God’s love as we interact with those who see the world differently than we do?

Today, I’m grateful for the blessings of living in this country, and I pray that we will continue striving to be a people who seek God, extend grace, and work toward unity.
