Coming Home to the Scriptures

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

My Daily Musings-June 16th, 2026

Romans 15:4 teaches that the scriptures were given “for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”

I love this verse because it reminds me that the scriptures are more than ancient words on a page—they were written for us. Every time I read them, even familiar passages, I seem to discover something new. Often, the lesson I find is exactly what I need in that moment.

The scriptures bring comfort, peace, and hope to my heart. Reading them feels like coming home—like wrapping up in a warm blanket on a cold winter day. In a world that can feel uncertain, they remind me that God is near and that His promises are sure.

Have you ever read a scripture you’ve seen many times before and suddenly noticed something new? When life feels overwhelming, where do you turn to find comfort and hope?
