Backstory:
I read a talk by one of my church leaders and he asked the question, “How do you feel God’s love?” I think we would probably all have some different answers to this question. Growing up, my parents and my religion taught me that God’s love is always there for me and that He is always there. So I have always believed that strongly.
Where the Spirit Moves
So how do I feel God’s love?
I feel like it is always there for me because of my loving Father above.
I feel like it never leaves me and from me my Father will never shove,
He will be stuck to me like a cold hand on a winter’s day with a glove.
Thinking about that question I thought about how a gust of wind feels,
We can’t see the wind but we know it is there and what a gust reveals.
We can’t see God’s love but we can believe that it’s there and that helps our ideals,
Just like we can feel the wind, we can also feel God’s love and that helps us feel like happy seals.
One way I feel God’s love the strongest is when I pray
Even when I’m having a bad day.
Or when I feel like my emotional skies will always be gray,
God will always help me find a better way.
Another way I feel God’s love is looking at His beautiful creations,
He made this amazing world for me to enjoy and my many relations.
He loves me so much and people in all nations,
He loves everyone unconditionally even though we are made with our many variations.
I also feel God’s love through the love of other people,
He created us and loves us all like we are equal.
I see the love of my family and friends for me and others and this makes me feel peaceful
Knowing that He created us to love each other makes me very cheerful.
The Takeaway: We are all children of our Heavenly Father. He loves us so much. We can feel His love in many different ways. We just need to trust that He will always love us and be there for us.
