Trusting the Master Editor of Your Story

Melodies & Musings

I have always had a deep love for books. There is something incredibly comforting about holding a story in your hands, watching the characters grow, and knowing that even the messiest, hardest chapters will eventually make sense by the very last page.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how our own lives are so much like a book. We hold the pen, writing our daily choices page by page. But we aren’t writing in a vacuum. We have a Heavenly Father who acts as our Master Editor.

Sometimes we hit a painful or confusing chapter—one filled with trial, grief, or waiting—and we want to scribble it out. But when we trust the Master Editor and allow Him to refine our rough drafts, He adds a level of wonder, strength, and beauty to our lives that we could never have written on our own. He knows the end from the beginning, and His redemptive love is woven through every single line.

I’m sharing a short, 45-second video reading of one of my older poems about this very truth. I hope it brings a little peace to whatever page you are writing today. Here’s the link to the original post to read the whole poem: https://faithcenteredinspiration.com/2026/01/16/the-master-editor/ and watch the YouTube video of me reading part of the poem here:https://www.youtube.com/shorts/C0ZL05uYGa8
