My Daily Musings-May 1st, 2026

When life feels heavy, stress can pile up until we feel overwhelmed and unsure how to keep going. I recently saw this quote: “I told God I was overwhelmed. He said, ‘Then stop trying to do my job.’”

That really made me think. How often do we carry worries that were never meant for our shoulders? How often do we try to figure out every detail of the future when only God can see the full picture?

Our Heavenly Father knows the plan for our lives far better than we do. Just like the old song says, “He’s got the whole world in His hands,” I believe He has each one of us there too.

That doesn’t mean we do nothing. We still pray, work, try, and move forward in faith. But after we’ve done our best, maybe we can stop carrying what belongs to Him. Maybe we can rest in the reassurance that we are safely in the palm of His hands.

What if peace comes when we trust that God is already holding what is overwhelming us?
