My Daily Musings-March 25th, 2026
Have you ever noticed that a branch can’t produce fruit on its own?
It doesn’t struggle or strive to grow fruit by itself—it simply stays connected to the tree. The life it needs flows naturally from the vine.
Jesus taught, “I am the vine, ye are the branches… for without me ye can do nothing.”
I’ve been thinking about what that really means in my own life. How often do I try to “grow” on my own—trying harder, pushing through, relying only on myself—when what I really need is to stay connected to Him?
Because the truth is, the “fruit” we’re meant to bear—love, kindness, patience, peace—doesn’t come from our own strength alone. It comes from abiding in Christ. From letting Him into our hearts, our struggles, and even the small, everyday moments.
So maybe the question isn’t, “Am I doing enough?”
Maybe it’s, “Am I staying close enough to Him?”
What would change in our lives if we focused less on striving and more on abiding?
What kind of fruit could grow if we truly let Him be part of everything?
A branch doesn’t force fruit—it simply remains.
Maybe that’s what we’re invited to do too.
