My Daily Musings-October 16th, 2026

“Different seasons, same Savior. Life changes. Circumstances change. But Jesus Christ remains the same.”

This quote really resonated with me because I believe it to be true. As everything changes in our lives, Jesus always remains the same. It can be overwhelming and stressful when everything around us is changing. Sometimes our whole lives can change in an instant, never to be the same again.

I enjoy the changing of the seasons, especially when winter changes into spring. I love the spring, when flowers start to bloom and the whole world becomes new again. I enjoy when the heat of the summer changes into autumn. The temperatures become cooler, and the leaves on the trees become so vibrant in their colors. I don’t enjoy when fall turns into winter because I dislike the cold weather. But I know that winter will eventually fade into the promise of spring.

I feel like our Heavenly Father blessed us with the changing seasons to help us see that we can feel peace and hope even when things are constantly changing around us. Just as there is always hope during the dark and cold winter that spring will come, there is always hope for our future because of Jesus Christ. I love that He always remains the same. He is always so kind, loving, and forgiving of us when we make mistakes. He loves us all so much and He always will. We can rest in that knowledge, even when nothing around us stays the same.

Anchored in God’s Love

“God’s presence brings peace in the middle of life’s storms. His love is an anchor that keeps us steady.”

If we can’t seem to find peace in our lives, maybe that is because we try to carry our burdens on our own. When we are going through difficult trials, we need to involve our Heavenly Father in our lives. He loves us so much and He wants to shower us with blessings. We only need to ask Him. He will shower us with peace, especially during times when our burdens seem too heavy to carry alone.

We can depend upon His love. It will always be there for us. It is an anchor in our lives that we can count on. It will never fail and it will keep us steady, especially during the storms of our lives.

I have felt the anchor of my Heavenly Father’s love in my life many times, too many to count. I have felt His love the most when the storms of my life became really heavy. There have been many times when I didn’t know if I could carry my burdens anymore. But He has always been there for me. I feel His love the most when I reach out to Him in prayer.

Your Worth Has Not Changed

My Daily Musings-September 11th, 2026

“Your value does not decrease because someone else cannot see your worth. God’s vision of you has not changed.”

The last few years, I have tried to not let other people’s opinions of me matter to my self-worth. But it’s hard sometimes. My family was discussing this topic Sunday on our weekly virtual call. Some of the women in my family concluded that it’s harder for women to not compare themselves to other women, and to not let other women’s opinions of them matter. My husband and my dad don’t worry about it.

But this quote is true. It really doesn’t matter what other people think of you. No matter what they think of you, it doesn’t decrease your worth. In our Heavenly Father’s eyes, we are all loved and valued deeply. He sees the best in each one of us. That’s amazing to me because He knows me the best. He knows my shortcomings, weaknesses, and sins. Yet He sees the best qualities in me. We should see each other through His heavenly eyes. We should look for the best qualities in others.

When I first started doing YouTube videos of myself singing and reading my poetry, I was worried about what other people would think of me when my hair was messy and I wasn’t at my best. But I felt a nudge from the Spirit to branch out and to get out of my comfort zone. I don’t think about my appearance now because I know I am supposed to share those videos. No matter what people think of me, hopefully they will be touched by my message.

How can we become better at seeing ourselves and others through Heavenly Father’s eyes? Have you ever had to remind yourself that someone else’s opinion doesn’t determine your worth?

He Loves Us Because He Is Love

“How God loves us: not because we are lovable but because He is love, not because He needs to receive but He delights to give.” -C.S. Lewis

Our Heavenly Father is love. He defines what love really means. His love is never conditional. He loves us even though we have so many weaknesses, shortcomings, and failures. He doesn’t give us love selfishly because He needs to receive our love. He selflessly showers His love upon us because He loves us so much.

I was taught at a young age that my Heavenly Father loved me. I have always believed it and I still do. The way I feel His love the most is when I kneel down and pray to Him. I can’t comprehend how He can be there for me and His billions of other children, each individually. But I guess I don’t need to understand that, I just need to believe that He is there for me whenever I need Him.

Another way I feel His love for me is walking and seeing the beauties of nature He created for me to enjoy. He is the Master Artist because this world is so beautiful. I love the many colors of His creations. I love looking at the flowers in the spring and the changing colors of autumn.

Our Heavenly Father truly is love. He exemplifies love. He defines what love really should be. If we need an example of how to love someone, we just need to look at how He loves us. I am human and I make mistakes daily. But He loves me no matter what. I can’t do anything to diminish or take away His love. His love is always there for me.

Melodies & Musings

When English poet Folliott Pierpoint sat on a hilltop overlooking the countryside in 1864, the surrounding beauty inspired him to write a simple song of gratitude—one that still speaks to us today. That hymn is For the Beauty of the Earth.

The melody of this hymn is beautiful. But the words really help me be grateful for the many blessings I have in my life. I especially love the words to the first verse.

For the beauty of the earth,

For the beauty of the skies,

For the love which from our birth

Over and around us lies,

Lord of all, to thee we raise

This our hymn of grateful praise.

I have always loved the beauties of nature. Looking at the beautiful mountains in Northern Utah where I live fills my soul with gratitude. The beautiful blue skies and even some puffy white clouds help me be grateful. But what really fills my soul with gratitude is the love of my Heavenly Father who loved me before my birth. He loves me no matter what. He will love me with a perfect love I can’t even begin to imagine throughout eternity. He created this earth for me and for all of us to enjoy its beauty.
