My Daily Musings-April 11th, 2026
Mother Teresa once said, “Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God at His disposition and listening to His voice in the depths of our hearts.”
That thought has stayed with me.
I’ve been trying to listen more when I pray to my Heavenly Father—but if I’m honest, it’s not always easy. So often my prayers come when I’ve just woken up or right before I fall asleep, and I don’t always take the time to simply be still and listen. Maybe I’m not the only one who has felt that.
What if prayer is meant to be more than a list of needs? What if it’s also meant to be a quiet space where we let Him speak?
Heavenly Father truly wants to hear from us—our worries, our hopes, and the things we carry deep in our hearts. But He also invites us to slow down, to listen, and to just spend time with Him.
When was the last time I paused long enough to hear His voice? And what might He be trying to tell me if I made just a little more space to listen?
