Backstory:
I pondered as I showered this morning. I was grateful for the nice warm water that washed away dirt, sweat and anything else. I thought of the body wash that helped to wash away all that filth as well. And I loved that because of the shower, I could feel clean again on the outside of my body. Then the thought occurred to me that Jesus could be compared to be the Master Cleanser. When we feel filthy or unclean in spirit, only Jesus Christ, our Savior, can help us feel clean again. Because of His Love for us we can feel clean on the inside and outside.

Washed by Grace

When our Father sent us to this earth,
He knew that we were of great worth.
He also knew that we would fall short at times,
So He provided a Savior to wash away all the filthiness of this world’s crimes.

Some days we might feel like we can’t do anything right,
For we are so human that it might just give us a fright.
We try so hard to make our Father proud
But we fall short so often because we might want to just be part of the crowd.

When we feel like we are filthy,
And because of our many shortcomings we start to feel guilty.
When we feel like we just need a break
From the filthiness inside of us, for Heaven’s sake.

Just imagine that the love of our Beloved Savior and Redeemer,
Can help us feel better about our very demeanor.
His beautiful Love can help cleanse our very nature,
And to put on His cleanser in our heart can keep us from danger.

So, if you feel like you will never be clean again,
Just remember that Jesus will never you condemn.
He loves you so much that He suffered so that you don’t have to,
And this knowledge should help you feel better when you are feeling blue.

The Takeaway: Our Heavenly Father knew that we would never be perfect. He knew that we would make mistakes while on this earth. That’s why He provided a Savior and Redeemer in His Beloved Son. With the cleansing gift of Jesus Atonement, when we feel filthy inside, we can feel clean again. This is brought to us because of His Amazing Love for Us!
