The Love That Never Lets Go

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

Backstory:
This week, my mom and I memorized Romans 8:38-39 together. The more I repeated these verses, the more I realized how comforting and powerful they are. Life brings hardships, losses, fears, and unanswered questions, and sometimes those things can make us feel distant from God. But Paul reminds us that our circumstances do not determine God's love for us. Because of Jesus Christ, nothing in this life or the next can separate us from His unfailing love.

The Love That Never Lets Go

Nothing can separate us from the love of God,
He is constantly cheering us on in our cheer squad.
Death can’t separate us from Him, Because of His Beloved Son,
For He fought the good fight and the victory over death was won.

Our Father will always be there no matter what happens in life,
Even if our troubles seem so big and full of strife.
No force, seen or unseen is greater than our Father’s love,
For He showers it upon us from up above.

We don’t need to worry or stress about today or tomorrow
Because our Father has us in His hands so we can go with the flow.
There is no mountain so high and no valley so deep
Where He cannot find us because we are His Beloved Sheep.

There may be times when we might feel alone
Like we are walking on a road on our own.
But His love is always with us no matter where we are
And His loving touch can heal our every scar.

Our Father knew we would occasionally fall,
So He sent His Son to suffer for us all.
The love of our Father because of His Son,
Shines its beautiful rays upon us like the sun.

The Takeaway: There may be seasons when we feel alone, forgotten, or overwhelmed, but God's love remains constant. No trial is too deep, no future too uncertain, and no power too great to separate us from Him. In Christ, we are forever held in the embrace of a love that never lets go.

The Privilege of Being Alive

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

My Daily Musings-June 18th, 2026

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive—to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to live—then make that day count!” — Steve Maraboli

I try to live my life with gratitude every day. Some days, especially when my health isn’t good, that’s easier said than done. Living with chronic illness means accepting limitations and navigating pain and fatigue that often affect what I can and cannot do.

Yet despite those challenges, I still have so much to be grateful for. This quote reminds me that every morning is a gift. Every day I wake up is another opportunity to breathe, to think, to love, to learn, and to experience life’s blessings—even in an imperfect body.

I want to become better at beginning each day with gratitude, focusing less on what my body cannot do and more on the precious privilege of being alive.

What are you most grateful for when you wake up each morning? How might your day be different if gratitude was your first thought before anything else?

The Waiting Room

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

Backstory:
Lately, I have spent a lot of time waiting—waiting in doctor offices, waiting for bloodwork results, waiting for answers that never seem to fully come. Living with chronic illness can feel exhausting, especially when tests say everything is “normal” while your body tells a different story. In the middle of the uncertainty, the endless appointments, and the quiet discouragement, I have been thinking about how much faith can be required simply to keep going. This writing was inspired by the emotional and spiritual waiting game that so many people silently live through every day.

The Waiting Room

I wake up every day and get out of my bed,
But I just want to stay and pull the covers over my head.
I have another doctor’s appointment later in the day,
And the monotony is more than I can say.

Waiting is a normal part of having a chronic illness,
And it gets lonely sitting in the stillness.
My life feels like a waiting room,
Hoping for answers but resting in the gloom.

Getting my blood drawn and more tests done,
The heavy burden sometimes weighs a ton.
Waiting to be seen, not just treated as a number.
When I am so exhausted that I would rather slumber.

Then the tests show that everything is fine
When that’s not what my body says with every sign.
Constantly waiting feels like walking a road all alone,
Searching for answers that seem to be unknown.

But I pray every day for the strength to keep going,
And hope that my struggle on the inside isn’t showing.
I trust that my Heavenly Father will lead and guide me
And with Him by my side, from the burden I’ll be free.

The Takeaway: Sometimes faith is not found in immediate healing or clear answers, but in continuing to hope while living in the unknown. Even in the waiting, Heavenly Father sees our struggles, hears our prayers, and walks beside us through every unanswered question.

Strength for the Hardest Days

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

My Daily Musings-May 14th, 2026

One of my favorite reminders from scripture is that even in His greatest agony, Jesus Christ was not abandoned by His Father.

As the Savior suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane for our sins, sorrows, pains, and sicknesses, Luke records this tender moment:

“And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”
—Luke 22:43–44

I have always been amazed that even though Jesus was divine and perfect, He still chose to feel every pain so completely. The Father allowed Him to experience suffering fully so that He could truly understand us. Because of that, there is no loneliness, heartbreak, fear, sickness, or sorrow we face that He does not already understand perfectly. What comfort does it bring to know that the Savior has already walked through every kind of pain before us?

I also love that Heavenly Father did not leave His Beloved Son to suffer without help. He sent an angel to strengthen Him so He could continue the sacred work He had been called to do. And I believe our Father in Heaven still does that for us today. Maybe angels come through people who listen, kind words at the right moment, quiet strength during hard days, or feelings of peace when we are overwhelmed. Have you ever felt Heaven strengthening you when you thought you could not keep going?

That truth brings me so much comfort: if Heavenly Father sent help to His Son in Gethsemane, He will also send help to us in our moments of need.

Beneath Heaven’s Umbrella

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

Backstory:
A few days ago, I walked to someone’s house in the rain for a few minutes with an umbrella over my head. Even though it shielded me, my shoes still got wet and the bottoms of my pants were soaked by the time I arrived. As I thought about that experience later, I was reminded of how faith in our Heavenly Father works much the same way. Faith doesn’t always stop the storms of life from touching us, but it gives us shelter, strength, and peace while we walk through them.

Beneath Heaven’s Umbrella

When the clouds cover the sun in our soul,
And we wonder if we will ever feel whole.
When rain and storms cover the ground,
We may want to stay inside where warmth can be found.

But when we step outside in the rain
Under an umbrella we can feel protected from pain.
When the clouds in our souls feel gloomy and heavy,
Our faith in our Father will keep our hearts steady.

We may feel like we just want to stay in bed
When the storms of life are raging over our head.
But using our Heavenly Umbrella, we can feel peace
And the weight of our burdens will find a release.

Our Father in Heaven loves us so much
And whenever we need it, we can feel His loving touch.
Having faith doesn’t usually remove the storms of life
But it helps us to bear them with less strife.

Some storms in our souls may not last very long
But some may linger and we may not feel very strong.
But if we have faith in our Father in Heaven,
We find strength in His love and His holy protection.

The Takeaway: Life’s storms can leave us weary, discouraged, and emotionally drenched. But when we turn to our Heavenly Father, we do not face those storms alone. Faith becomes our umbrella—a shield that may not remove every hardship, but protects our hearts and helps us endure. No matter how fierce the rain around us or within us may feel, God is always near and ready to strengthen us if we reach for Him.
