My Daily Musings-June 23rd, 2026
One of my favorite miracles of Jesus, especially after watching The Chosen, is the healing of the paralyzed man at the Pool of Bethesda (John 5:1–15). This man had been disabled for thirty-eight years when Jesus came to him and asked, “Wilt thou be made whole?”
The man explained that he had no one to help him into the pool when the water was stirred. Then Jesus simply said, “Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” Immediately, he was healed.
I love this miracle because it beautifully illustrates the Savior’s compassion and His power to heal, even after someone has waited a very long time for relief.
We all carry burdens that feel heavy and difficult to bear. Some of us may long for physical healing that doesn’t come in this life. Yet the Savior offers something even greater—He can make us whole spiritually. He can heal wounded hearts, strengthen weary spirits, and give us peace in the midst of our struggles. We need only reach out to Him and trust in His perfect timing and love.
What burdens are you carrying today that you need to place in the Savior’s hands? In what ways has Jesus helped make you spiritually whole, even in the midst of life’s challenges?
