My Daily Musings-March 13th, 2026

Have you ever felt like Martha—busy, worried, and pulled in a dozen directions at once? Life fills our days with responsibilities, tasks, and expectations. Sometimes we become so focused on everything that needs to get done that our hearts become tired and restless.

In Luke 10:41–42, Jesus gently reminds Martha that while many things may feel urgent, “one thing is needful.” Mary chose to sit and listen to Him, and He said that choice would not be taken away from her.

It makes me wonder: how often do I let the noise of life crowd out the quiet moments with the Lord?

The dishes, errands, and to-do lists will always be there. But time spent with Him—through prayer, scripture study, or simply sitting quietly and turning our hearts toward Him—feeds our souls in ways nothing else can.

What is one small way you could choose the “good part” today?
