My Daily Musings-July 12th, 2026

One of my favorite moments in The Chosen comes in the Season 2 opener when John interviews the disciples years after Jesus’ resurrection. One disciple says that Jesus “knew him before he knew Him.” That simple statement has stayed with me.

Long before Jesus called His disciples, He already knew their personalities, their families, their strengths, their weaknesses, and every detail of their lives. The same is true for each of us. Jesus knows us far better than anyone else does—even better than we know ourselves.

What amazes me most is that He loves us anyway.

He sees every mistake we’ve made, every weakness we struggle to overcome, every burden we carry, and He never turns away. His love is complete, unwavering, and perfect.

Because of His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, we never have to face our trials alone. He understands our pain, strengthens us in our weakness, heals our broken hearts, and gives us hope to keep moving forward.

How does it change your perspective to know that Jesus has always known you completely and loves you perfectly anyway?

When have you felt His understanding and strength carrying you through a difficult season?
