My Daily Musings-November 3rd, 2026

“Jesus didn’t come to start a religion. He came to show us how to get home.”

This quote really resonated with me when I saw it on Pinterest. Jesus was the perfect example while He was on the earth. He went about doing good wherever He went. He healed and blessed so many people. It didn’t matter to Him what their situation was. He loved everyone equally. I love reading stories about Jesus healing people in the scriptures. He was always so loving, charitable, kind, and compassionate.

I thought of the words in John 14:5-6. Jesus was with His disciples during the Last Supper shortly before His crucifixion. Thomas asked Him where He was going and how they could know the way to follow Him. Jesus answered in verse 6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

I have always believed that Jesus is the way. What is so amazing to me is that our Heavenly Father knew we would make mistakes in this life. He knew we would need a way back to Him. He gave us the incredible gift of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. We wouldn’t be able to get back home to our Heavenly Father without Jesus. I am so grateful for my Savior. If it weren’t for Him, I feel like there wouldn’t be much hope in this life. But He did come, and He did suffer for my sins. He is the way back to our Heavenly Father.

When we feel discouraged because of our many mistakes and sins, we should reach out to Jesus. He will help us overcome our mistakes and sins. When we repent, He will help us change. He loves us so much. He gave His life so that we would have a way back to our heavenly home after this life.

How has Jesus Christ helped you find your way back to Heavenly Father when you’ve made mistakes? What does it mean to you that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life”?

When We Take a Wrong Turn

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

My Daily Musings-November 2nd, 2026

“God has already taken into account the wrong turns, the mistakes in your life. Quit beating yourself up and accept His mercy.”

I have always believed that my Heavenly Father loves me. I was taught this truth as a young child. It’s incredible to think that despite all of my mistakes and the wrong turns I have taken in my life, He still loves me.

As I thought about this, I was reminded that life is like a road. Our Heavenly Father knows where we are supposed to go. He knows how we can get there. He sees the whole road, while we can only see a small path forward. Our destination is to live with Him for eternity after this life.

We might think we know the best route to take, so we sometimes make wrong turns and get lost for a while. As long as we stay in touch with our Heavenly Father, He can help us navigate our journey each day.

When we make mistakes, we should reach out to our Heavenly Father and repent. He will forgive us and be there to help us heal. We should feel sorry about our mistakes, but we shouldn’t beat ourselves up too much. Instead, we can choose to accept His mercy and His love.

Have you ever struggled to forgive yourself for a mistake, even after turning to God for forgiveness? How has your Heavenly Father helped you when you felt you had taken a wrong turn in life?

Finding Strength in Difficult Days

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

My Daily Musings-November 1st, 2026

As I have written about before, I have been dealing with some difficult days with my health lately. Some days, it is hard to get out of bed because I can anticipate how I will feel and I don’t know if I can handle another hard day.

I think that Heavenly Father sends certain people, such as our family and friends, into our lives for a reason. I also think that He wants us to share our difficult times with others so we can strengthen each other. When I hear a story of someone who has gone through something hard, I find strength to get through my own difficult days.

I have been blessed with so many wonderful, compassionate, and loving people in my life. I am so grateful for each one of you. I can see why my Heavenly Father guided me to each one of you.

I also know that we were never meant to go through our trials alone. When we think no one can possibly understand what we are going through, our Heavenly Father is there for us. We can reach out to Him in prayer and He will be there whenever we need Him. He is just waiting for us to reach out to Him.

A few days ago, when I was having a particularly hard day and feeling discouraged, I knelt before my Heavenly Father and cried out my feelings to Him. I felt His love for me so strongly in that moment. I know that He will be there for each of you as well whenever you need Him.

What helps you find the strength to keep going when you face another hard day? Have you ever felt that Heavenly Father placed someone in your life at just the right time?

When Faith and Doubt Exist Together

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

My Daily Musings-October 31st, 2026

I have recently been intrigued by the story of Jeremiah in the Old Testament. His story took place at a time when Jerusalem was under siege. The Babylonian army had surrounded Jerusalem, and the city was facing destruction. The people of Judah had repeatedly turned away from God, and He had warned them through Jeremiah that judgment was coming. King Zedekiah had confined Jeremiah because the prophet had been telling the people that Jerusalem would fall to the Babylonians and that the king would be taken captive. While Jeremiah was still imprisoned, God instructed him to purchase a field in his hometown of Anathoth. This might have seemed like a foolish investment because the Babylonians were about to take over the land. God promised that although Judah would experience destruction and exile, the day would come when people would once again buy and sell land in the country. God had not abandoned His people.

When Jeremiah prayed and expressed his confusion about what God was asking him to do, the Lord responded with the words in Jeremiah 32:27:

“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”

I love that God responded this way to Jeremiah’s confusion. Sometimes in our lives, we may be confused about what our Heavenly Father wants us to do. When we pray, we can receive comfort and strength to do what we need to do. When our Heavenly Father is by our side, nothing is too hard. That’s reassuring to hear in the scriptures. But do we really believe that in our lives today? Do we actually believe that no trial is too hard for us to endure when we have the strength of our Heavenly Father with us?

I feel like most days I have a fair amount of faith. I trust my Heavenly Father to help me get through each day. But on the most difficult days with my health, I still doubt and wonder if anyone understands how I feel. I think that’s just part of human nature. Then I pray and feel the strength to keep going from my Heavenly Father. I’ve realized that doubt and faith can exist on the same day. But I just need to remember that I’m not alone and to reach out to my Heavenly Father when I doubt and He will send me blessings that I need. He will do the same for you.

When We Don’t Feel Strong Anymore

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

My Daily Musings-October 30th, 2026

“Dear God…I don’t want to be strong anymore. I just want to be held.”

I immediately connected with this quote when I saw it on Pinterest. We all go through hard trials. Some days, we feel like we can be strong and hold it together. Then we have days when we feel like we just might break down and cry. In those moments, we don’t know if we can be strong anymore, and we just need a shoulder to cry on and someone to hold us.

I have felt like this many times over the last few years through the roller coaster of my health. I have days when my health is better, and I feel like I can make it through the day more easily. I’ve had many difficult days with my health lately. On those days, I just want someone to listen to me and a shoulder to cry on. Those are the days I fall to my knees in prayer to my Heavenly Father the most. I have learned over the last few weeks that He wants me to tell Him everything I’m feeling. I can pour out my heart to Him, and He will listen to all of it. He will always be with me, and He will send me the comfort and peace I need.

I think sometimes we just hold it all together. We hold our emotions in because we think we need to be strong all the time. My therapist taught me recently that I shouldn’t hold all of those emotions inside. I should let them out. Crying can be cathartic sometimes, and we can feel much better afterward. I know that our Heavenly Father is there for us always. He will listen to us anytime we need Him. He will be there to comfort us and to send us His peace.

Have you ever had a time when you felt like you couldn’t be strong anymore? What helped you through it? How do you find comfort and peace when you’re going through a difficult trial?
