My Two Mites

Thank you for subscribing-may these words bring a quiet moment of peace and reflection to your day.

Backstory:
As I reflected on the story of the widow’s mite, I was struck by how little she seemed to have, yet how much she was willing to give. While others gave from abundance, she offered all she had. It made me think about what God asks of each of us—not necessarily riches or grand gestures, but willing hearts, trust, faith, and whatever offering we can place in His hands.

My Two Mites

Our Heavenly Father blesses us so abundantly,
And whatever we give Him will be enough ultimately.
What can we give to Him who gave us so much?
We can serve others with His delicate touch.

We can give Him our trust that He will guide us on this journey,
And watch things unfold so we don’t need to worry.
We should trust in Him so that we can say like His Beloved Son,
That we love Him too and that His will may be done.

We can give our Father our whole soul,
So that He can help us heal and we can be made whole.
If we go to Him on our knees in humble prayer,
We can trust that for us He will always be there.

We should be like this widow and give our all to our Father,
So that with Him by our side, we can go farther.
We should follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ,
Who gave His Father His all and paid the ultimate price.

Whatever we have to give our Father in Heaven,
He will multiply it seventy times seven.
As long as we give Him all that we have with sincerity of heart,
He will help us on our journey as long as we do our part.

The Takeaway: God does not measure our offerings by size, but by sincerity. Whether we give Him our time, our trust, our faith, or our whole heart, He sees the sacrifice behind it. When we willingly place all we have in His hands, He can turn even the smallest offering into abundant blessings.
