Backstory:

Over a week ago, I burned my hand. It hurt really bad even though I soaked it in cold water for a while. I went to a doctor and he prescribed me some burn cream that I put on my burns a couple times a day. It healed my hand in a couple days and it was back to normal in less than a week. This experience made me think that our Heavenly Father could be the doctor who can prescribe us something to heal our burns or our heartaches. Then our Savior, Jesus Christ could be the healing cream that we can put on our heartaches to help us heal. 

Our Healing Cream

Sometimes things happen that are out of our control,

We have hard times as we go through our daily stroll,

Those times can on our fragile heart take a big toll,

We could wonder if we will ever feel whole.

Some days we feel like our heartaches cause our hearts to burn,

 We wonder what we could possibly learn,

Our hearts are so burned and broken that for a break we so desperately yearn,

Those hard days are when our loving Father above will be for us the most concerned.

He loves us so much and will never leave us,

Even on those hard days when we just want to make a fuss,

We can go to Him in prayer and our problems with Him we can discuss,

We can know that He will always be there and this is always a plus.

Our Father sent His Son as our healing cream,

Even when we feel weak, He will always be on our team,

Even on days when we feel like all we can do is scream,

He will help our burns heal and can help us reach our dream.

So, when you have days when your heart is burned or broken,

Always remember that the door to our Father and His Son is always open,

They will be there to help us heal even when our words are unspoken,

They know what is in our heart and will help us heal because we are chosen.

The Takeaway: We all have hard times when we feel like our hearts are burned or broken. We can’t imagine that our hearts will ever heal. We need to remember that we are never alone. Our loving Heavenly Father is there for us. He loves us so much that He sent His Son to heal our brokenness and help us heal from our heartaches and sorrows.
