Backstory:
I saw this scripture verse on Pinterest and knew I had to read it and research more about the meaning behind it. It’s from Jeremiah 30:17 and it reads, “I will restore health to you and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.” This promise came at a time when the people of Israel and Judah were in a state of suffering and exile, and were seen as an outcast nation. So this promise was very reassuring for them and can be applied to our lives today as well.
I Will Heal Your Wounds
We sometimes have wounds on our physical body
And feeling such pain we feel sorry.
We go through hard times on this earth
And we have wounds on our hearts that hurt.
We might feel alone in our struggle to make it through another day,
And our hearts feel so wounded and bruised that it is hard to say.
We all feel this way from time to time
And feeling like that definitely isn’t a crime.
We just need to remember that we are never alone
And we never need to feel like we are on our own.
We have a Loving Father in Heaven
And His love for us we never need to question.
He sent His Beloved Son to the earth
To help us discover our divine worth.
They can both help us heal from the many wounds of our hearts
And their love for us is so beautiful, it’s like a work of art.
We need to have faith that because of their love
We can be healed and feel their warmth like a glove.
Any brokenness can be healed
And we can feel wholeness in our hearts like a shield.
The Takeaway: We all have struggles and trials in this earthly existence. We may feel broken and alone at times. We just need to have faith that we are never alone. Our Loving Heavenly Father is always there for us. He loves us so much that He gave us His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ to help us heal from the many wounds we may feel on the inside.
