Backstory:

I have always known my whole life that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. But I realized recently while I was sitting in church that there are sometimes roadblocks that get in my way of really feeling His love deep within my soul and feeling that deep connection with Him. I think that deepening that connection with my Heavenly Father would really help me in all aspects of my life. 

Father, Help Me Feel Thy Love

Father, I am so grateful that you are there,

And that for me you always care.

I have always felt your presence in my life,

Even while I am in the midst of great strife.

I wish that you were here with me in person,

And then maybe I could know more for certain.

But thank you for sending me your amazing love,

And your sweet spirit from above.

Father, I know that I am far from perfect,

But I also know that me you will never reject.

Some days I try so hard to be good,

And do the things I know I should.

But I fall short time after time,

And even though I don’t commit a terrible crime,

I still feel ashamed of who I am,

But I know that I am still your precious little lamb.

Your love for me I can’t even imagine,

Because it is so great that it would be impossible to even examine.

So, please Father, help me to feel more of Thy love for me,

And help me to deepen my relationship with thee.

The Takeaway: We have a Heavenly Father who is always there for us. Even though we can’t see Him, we can feel His love for us. We can feel a deep connection with Him through prayer. He will help us to feel His love. He will also be with us through everything we face in this life. This connection with Him is the most important and amazing relationship we can ever have. It is a precious gift that we should receive and accept in our lives.
